| Canadian Coast Guard The Canadian Coast Guard (French: Garde côtière canadienne) is the coast guard of Canada. It is a federal agency responsible for providing maritime search and rescue (SAR), aids to navigation, marine pollution response, marine radio, and icebreaking. Unlike some other coast guards, such as the United States Coast Guard, the CCG is a civilian organization with no military or law enforcement responsibilities. The Canadian Coast Guard work along side the agency that perform the law enforcement on Canada's waterways, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the federal law enforcement agency for Canada. |
