1992-2001 Jeep Cherokee  The Jeep Cherokee with a police package was introduced in 1992. The retail Jeep Cherokee came out in 1983, and was the first compact 4 door sport utility vehicle.Cherokee AHB police package feartured a4.0 liter inline 6cycl engine, upgraded suspension, calibrated speedometer, a column mounted shifter, and other upgrades. For model year 1997 the Cherokee received a restyled front end. Replaced in the retail market by the 2002 Jeep Liberty, that did not have a police package. Chrysler would not offer another full police package SUV until 2019 with the Dodge Durango Pursuit.
