Image Gallery 2012-2019 Ram 1500 Special Service

2012-2019 Ram 1500 Special Service Vehicle For model year 2012, Chrustler intriduced a special service package for it's truck division Ram pickup. Based on the Ram 1500 Pickup, the Ram 1500 Special Service was only vaiable as a crew cab 4x4 pickup. It was the first special service pickup offeredf by a manufacturer for police use, Ford would follow shortly after, and Chevrolet a few years later. For 2012 the engine was a 390 hp 5.7L HEMI V8, connected to a 6 speed automatic tranmisison. Other features that the special service version has over the standard Ram 1500 include a 220 amp alternator, heavier duty battery, certified speeometer, and additional chassis and body welds (1) . For model year 2019 Ram Introduced a completely new Ram Pickup, but continue to make the prior model for the retail and fleet markets, with the older model being sold as the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic. The special service package continued to be offered on the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic, but not yet on the all new Ram pickup. For 2019, the Ram Special Service's 5.7L HEMI V8 engine put out 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, and for improved fuel efficiency, Fuel Saver Technology deactivates half of the engine's cylinders when not as much power is needed. (2) Available is the RamBox Cargo Management System, that is a  lit, secure, durable and drainable storage system built into the side rails of the pickup truck bed.(2)
