2006-2016 Chevrolet Impala PPV The all new, front wheel drive, 2000 Chevrolet Impala was the replacement in both the retail and police market for the Chevrolet Lumina. For 2006 the Impala received a restyle, and the police version continued. Minor styling changes were made for 2012.  For the 2006 to 20011 model years, the Impala PPV was powered by a 3.9L V-6 with 240 hp and 4 speed automatic transmisison. The Chevrolet Impala PPV received a performance upgrade for 2012, with a new, more-powerful 302 hp  3.6L V-6, six-speed automatic transmission and 17-inch wheels. (1) The retail Impala will be replaced by an all new Impala model for the 2014 model year, with the older model continuiing from 2014-2016 as the  Impala Limited, only available fleet only customers.
