1993-2002 Chevrolet Camaro Special Service Package All new for 1993, the Camaro was once again available with a special service package for police use. Ford would bring out a completely new Mustang the next year, but without a police special service model. That would leave the Camaro as the only high speed, special service, traffic enforcement vehicle available for police from 1994 till the last Camaro was made in 2002. For the 1998 model year the Camaro got a fresh front end and tail light treatment that gave it a more modern look. Even though it was one of the best performance cars ever made, Chevrolet decided to discontinue the Camaro at the end of the 2002 model year.
