1984-1986 Chevrolet Celebrity 9C1 The front drive, mid-sized Celebrity was introduced in 1981. For 1984 the Celebrity would be offered with a Police Special Service Package, as a replacement for the police Chevrolet Malibu that ended production in 1983. The Celebrity never made a good police car. The weak 2.8 litre V-6 was not meant for police work. Chevrolet dropped the police special service package for the Celebrity after 1986.
