2003-2006 Ford Expedition Special Service Package A new Ford Expedition was introduced for model year 2013 featuring a new independent rear suspension, and a special service package again was available from Ford for law enforcement use. For 2003, the Expedition went from 16-inch alloy wheels on prior year to 17-inch heavy-duty steel wheels. (1)  A 4.6 liter SOHC V8 was the standard engine, with a 5.4L, 260 hp Triton V-8 engine also available.
